CLAIMS OFFICER


Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide excellent customer services on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for conducting all interviews relating to claims (Main Office) ensuing that the officer
    • Records information from clients coming in
    • Copy or scan necessary documents
    • Advise Claims Inspector to carry out inspection of a reported claim (photographs to be taken for Insured and Claimant’s vehicle where applicable)
    • Advise Assistant Claims Manager when there is the need to carry out inspections quickly
    • Pass all relevant documents to Claims Executive Officer
  • Respond to all incoming emails and request for letter
  • Proactively manage individual claims (Follow-up)
  • Provide support to Claims Executive Officer  to ensure that information recorded is accurate and up to date where applicable
  • Assist Claims Manager in compiling claims statistical data for reinsurers, auditors, and other affiliated parties.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

This post requires an individual who holds himself/herself to the highest standards and has a strong desire for personal growth and professional success. The individual should display initiative, diligence, self-confidence, and an outgoing personality.

  • Minimum - Associate Degree in Business Administration with at least one year working experience in customer service
  • Can demonstrate familiarity with basic principles in the area of Customer Service
  • Strong work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing
  • Professional demeanor both on the phone and in person
  • Proficiency is required in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Valid drivers license
